You can go see the walruses at Round Island for ten dollars, paid to the reseach group that studies them, (I think its the State) so after we were done herring fishing in Togiak, we went walrus viewing...got to get off the boat and stretch...I couldn't get close enough to the really big pile of walruses to get a good picture, but a few of them came towards us; you could see they must have been digging clams underwater, by the big mud boils when they dove, sometimes; eventually these hauled out between us and the boat..
